Who cares if they all do it. If this list does not provide what you want
then unsubscribe from it. I receive items on this list which have nothing to
do with the HP3000 or with computers for that matter. I believe the first
ILOVEYOU message I got was from this list. Big deal, I did not open it, as a
matter of fact, I did open it in notepad and then returned mail it to the
person and warned them it was a virus. I get get rich quick schemes, DELETE
KEYed, and many other sorts. But I get great information a lots of help.
This is why I am on the list.
Many of the vendors know that too much advertising or hyping about will
deminish the use of the list, thus chasing away the very clients in which
they want to reach. If 20 messages come across as flagrant advertising with
no additional help, what difference is that with the 20 messages I receive
that want me to go to some sex site, or mail $5 to someone to tell me how to
invite people to mail me $5 and get rich in 1 month. DELETE them.
Since it is free to join this list and free to walk away you choose. Stop
complaining. If the list is of use, use it, otherwise leave.

James

P.S. This may have come across as more harsh than I would like it. This was
not my intention. I know there are those who want to keep things clean and
simple. But that is impossible in a free society.
