What you say may be true.

But, correct me if I am wrong, 3kWorld is a for profit company and not some
altruistic support group out to ensure the health and welfare of the 3000
community.

Do we really want every 3000 related company, and any company who thinks
their product might be related, posting product announcements to a
discussion list?

If you allow one company to do it, you must allow all companies to do it.

I'm sure that 3kWorld would put a link up if you asked them.

This list isn't so busy that having some group actively support it is a
problem in my opinion. Why are people always jumping on some of the
biggest 3000 supporters, but not on others for much the same traffic? It
seems we have this conversation every few months.

I'm of the opinion that if someone is actively supporting our little niche,
then the least we can do is put up with a little bandwidth from them.
