Agreed.  When I try to do mass restores of the system I'm sure to miss some
parameter such as olddate.  I have found that standard streams produce
standard results.

All or most functions in the use of stores / restores should be done in
batch. This would provide an audit
of all operations functions. True I am not a firm believer in having any
such function being performed at the "console"
It's not that you cannot, it's just sound practice not to perform these
types of functions when the console is busy sending
other messages, and you may miss something critical, like a file not stored
or files missing etc...
