hi all!
i've got a curiosity. the following is the last line from a
sysstart file....
STARTSESS 20;CONSOLE,OPERATOR.SYS;NOWAIT;HIPRI
(note -- no imbedded passwords!)
...so the system gets rebooted (start norecovery)....the
sysstart file gets run...the session is started on the
console for the operator...the system prompts for a
password....type in the password....watch the operator logon
*and* immediately get logged off because of:
if rtrim("!hpjobname") = ""
echo ERROR: A session name must be supplied
echo Logon denied
continue
bye
eoj
endif
(the last few lines of the system logon udc) huh? clearly
'console' is part of the startsess line. what's happening
to the session (aka hpjobname) name? rather annoying to say
the least <hrump> - d
