Anyone ever experienced performance problems when useing SUPERDEX?

We have an address DB with 2.500.000 addresses in their and SUPERDEX Keys
on several fields.

Now when we update (via batch) this data set we encounter serious
performance problems (like taking 15 minutes for 12 addresses)

Any idea
