Just read an interesting article with this subject as the title.

"Forget all those far-reaching E-services plans Hewlett-Packard was
spinning last year. The company's new model, dubbed "Chapter 2 of the
Internet," focuses on business portals and a big push to ferret out
"agent" partners.
