One other thing to note is that if you do happen to reach the theoretical
limit of 9999999, then the system will simply roll back over to 1.

If you use the SETCOUNTER command, as someone else suggested, to limit the
range of your spoolfile numbers, then when the numbers reach your
configured maximum, then they will roll over to whatever you have specified
as the base, rather than rolling over to 1.
