2 questions and a comment.
HP 3000 future - since I'm preaching to the choir, I'll keep my comments short.
I think the future of the 3000
is good, as HP has engineered them well, even if they haven't done much to
market them...
One co-worker is leaving today to become a Oracle/Unix DBA for tons more money.
I could do something similar
but I don't want the hassle of using Unix (I could use the $ though :))
I think the HP 3000 will be around a while. Plus, we're a large Amisys shop (I
help manage 13 3000's)
I do think the 'e' is a little silly though. Hopefully, no one will call it the
HPee 3000! (oops)

Q1. there may have been a comment about something like this before: Can !HP
variables be used in an ftp?
ex. ftp.... put filename!hphour.doc
If not, we'll have to think of a workaround. (a programmer wants the date/time
in the filename.

Q2. I'm not that familiar with HOWMESSY, but I do know the format that it
expects, for a database.
But I can't get it to work. I want to run it for the CCC databases
(Maestro/SpoolMate) and it gave me this:
(logged on as MGR.CCC)
MOZART.MAESTRO
Error-1: Unable to open database in mode 5 or mode 6

TURBOIMAGE RESULT AT $00000000: RETURN STATUS = -21
 DBOPEN, MODE 6 ON MOZART.MAESTRO; PASSWORD = "<NULL>"
BAD PASSWORD - GRANTS ACCESS TO NOTHING
HEX DUMP OF STATUS ARRAY FOLLOWS:
 FFEB 2020 2020 2020 0000 0191 4184 6308 0006 0000
