Harry,

Unless it understands some minimal PCL, you're flat out of luck. I would
guess that if configured in Epson emulation mode it does not understand any
PCL. I am not familiar with this printer, but does it have an HP mode? If
so, try that.

Subject: JETDIRECT AND NT 4.0

We recently added an old HP2235c printer to our WinNT 4.0 based network
via a 170x Hp Jetdirect external box. We were hoping to use this
printer to print reports generated on our HP3000 system. The printer was
installed using HP Jetdirect software as an Epson LQ1500 series
printner, as recommended in the HP documentaiton. In addition, the
switches on the 2235c have been set to Epson emulation mode. For some
reason, we have not been able to get anything to print when sending from
the HP or from a PC. Do you have any adviceas to what we might do to
resolve this problem? Your assistance will be highly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Harry Lawrence, Systems Operator
