Could ls be of use here? For instance,
ls "-lt /3000devs/DEVICES/"
returns information for every LDEV, but does not require you to know or
specify the directory in question. Of course, if you have the LDEV, you can
just
ls "-lt /3000devs/DEVICES/00000008"
