We have have been using a Model 20 Nike Disk Array as a private volume on
our 987SX test machine in anticipation to installing the Model 20 as the
system volume set.
Lun0 is configured as a Raid1(2 4gb drives), Lun1 is configured as a Raid5
(4 4gb drives) and Lun9 as a Hot Spare(1 4gb drive).
The Model20 functions works fine as a private volume BUT when we went to
install the following happened
        boot from primary path N
        boot from secondary path Y
        ISL> primpath
                pointed to lun0 path
        ISL>install
                all files restored....
        Boot from Primary path Y
        booting
        Cannot find Entry_Test

        Failed to initialize
        Entry_Init status = -4

        Boot from Primary path

Does anyone know why the -4 status other than an unrecoverable hardware
error? Does a 987 support the Model20 as ldev 1?
Is the PDC code in the 987 upgradeable? We're patched to MPEKXU3D.
We put the system back together by pointing to the original primary boot
path. The Lun0 drive that was intended to be LDEV 1 mounted as Its original
ldev # with Loner Member1 mpexl_system_volume_set. It was scratched and a
private volume was created on it.
