Remote HP3k Connect Problem

I am trying to connect to a remote HP3K on our WAN.  I
can get a Telnet connection to it but when entering
the IP # in Reflection, MS92 or QCterm, I freeze.  Can
anyone give me a few hints of what to look for?  This
is a new 979-100.

I've set up one of the remote system's printers on my
system and the remote users can log onto mine.
