Over the weekend a power supply failed on my data
volume set - thank goodness for mirroring - but a
question arose: How to recover without a reboot.

You should be able to replace the power supply and
remirror readily. I tried VSCLOSEing the volume but
it just sat in a pending state. I had to reboot to
start the re-mirroring process.

Should I have used the REPLACEMIRRVOL command?
