Also, note that 100Mb interfaces on the 3000 should be set manually
to match speed/duplex.  You can do this in NMMGR.  They do not do
autodetection correctly at least with Cisco switches (neither does
our 9000).  PC cards tend to auto-sense correctly most of the time,
while server-class cards (our 3000 and 9000, and some Suns) rarely
set themselves correctly.
