Umm, Shawn, you *know* you're gonna get blasted for that, don't you ;)

I'll throw my hat into the ring, so to speak, on both sides of the issue:

-- since this deals with a piece of software developed primarily* for the
HP3000, discussion of it's usage, merit, and "wish list" items certainly
belongs here

-- however, as Ken pointed out, "...this good technical discussion
[should] continue for as long as there is anything PRODUCTIVE to discuss" I
believe we've reached that point [and many others obviously believe we've
passed it] It is nearly unanimous that "the community" wants it to work
differently than how Wirt has implemented it, and Wirt has supplied an
unattractive alternative as "it's already in there". Both sides have dug
their heels in and aren't about to be budged, so further discussion ceases
to be "productive"

Tom

*: I said "primarily" -- I seem to recall that this is also intended to be
somewhat "universal" in that it could work with any host -- but for this
group, "there is no other host [worth working on] ;)"
