I find this much more "MPEish." What else purpose is the MPE command
language except to be clear and simple? If you want terse and cryptic,
there is always the Unix/Posix alternative (not sure about the ld equiv.).
One question I have, however, is how often would these options be needed
and when would they be important to have (i.e. what is the business case
for it)?
