Where did all of this discussion about databases come from? XML isn't about
storing information; it's about transferring it between parties.

Big picture:
 Data base data, accounting data, whatever: what I'm going to tell you
 XML: how I tell you what I'm going to tell you
 SGML: how I tell you how I'm going to tell you what I'm going to tell you
