How about checking the creation date of the $STDLIST?
:setvar hplastjob "#J6239"
:setvar loggedon finfo("!hplastspid.out.hpspool","created")
The value of the 'loggedon' variable will be when the job
logged onto the system.
Example:
:setvar hplastjob "#J2"
:setvar loggedon finfo("!hplastspid.out.hpspool","created")
:showvar loggedon
LOGGEDON = WED, DEC 1, 1999
