Hello All,
I need some help with user capabilities.
We have lots of fixed ascii text files in an account on our 3000. I want to display these files on the web. I am using Mark Bixby's PHP port with apache, and I've written a php script to add the appropriate tags before the file, include the text file, and close the beginning tags so the file looks correct in a browser.
The problem is that the unix permissions on the file are wrong so the include fails if I don't change the permissions. I can't be constantly changing the permissions everytime someone adds a text file to the group so I put the chmod right into the php file before it displays the file.
Because the files are not in my APACHEFW account, the operation is not permitted unless I give SM capabilities to the SERVER.APACHEFW user that apache runs as. I do not want to do this. Is there another way to allow a user in the APACHEFW account to perform a chmod in the other account?
Thanks,
Peter Osborne
