As a follow-up to my previous post, I ran across the following today:

"Compaq was also the only computer company to record an increase in sales
outside of the dominant UNIX mid-range server segment. According to IDC,
Compaq's OpenVMS sales were up by 62 percent in the sector."

and for those of you who missed my earlier post regarding S/390:

> In a non-HP3000 task I ran across the following (from Gartner not IBM)
which

> "IBM's S/390 e-business workload MIPS (admittedly off a smaller base) grew
> by 195 percent in 1999..." and
> "...the S/390 installed base, which had an overall growth in the 25
percent
> to 30 percent range."

I sure would like to hear the same types of numbers from CSY, anyone there
listening?
