Wirt is correct (as if we didn't know that already). I use a HP Omnibook
that occasionally turns the numerics keys on whenever it feels like.
Fortunately, with just a press of a button, I am able to turn it off. Check
your documentation.

The problem doesn't lie in Reflection or your connection method to the
HP3000. It's actually in your new notebook computer.

Many notebook computers allow you to "re-map" the right-hand alphabetic keys
on your keyboard into a numeric keypad (for instance, an L becomes a 3 and
the letter O ends up as 6), usually by you pushing just one or a few keys.
Read your instruction manual for your new computer; it'll tell you how to
switch the keyboard interpretation back to a standard alphabetic keyboard.

My IBM Thinkpad does this quite often to me -- but not frequently enough
that I remember the key sequence from time to time. I still have to read the
instructions regarding how to get in back into the standard mode every time.
