Yup.

I think I got $3.25/hour when I started as an HP-3000 programmer in late
1980/early 1981 (while still in high school).

I suspect one could have lived pretty happily on $9.00/hour in 1975, since
$9/hr works out to $18,720/yr and the median U.S. *family* income in 1975
was $13,719 (according to a very quick web search).
