Yes, it just comes back to the prompt.  Any listf + mode comes back to the
prompt.  You can see the file with a plain listf without a mode ,2 ,-3 etc.
Really weird.  Any other thoughts.

Have you tried doing a listf,8 or ,9 on the file to see
if anyone is accessing it?
