Hi,
 I've just set up Samba on our m/c. using the sample smb.conf file. That
was straight forward enough.
What I'm having difficultly with is deciphering security levels and
granting access.
What I want to do for now is set up a user with write access to a share/MPE
directory.

I'm being prompted for a password.
The user is entered in the user.map file as
       MGR.account = pcuser
should pcuser relate to another entry somewhere???

Where are the passwords kept?
There are no MPE passwords on MGR.account
entering , at the prompt doesn't work

Has anybody got a sample confif file/s that I could adapt?

Server - 917 (MPE/iX 6.0)
Client - Win98 and WinNT 4
