The answer is probably, "not many" -- and for the most part, the fix is
to remove the sort on the path. The reason is that paths sorted on YYMMDD
and intended to provide date-sorted retrievals will give wrong answers
anyway. So either the date field has to be changed, or inquiry programs
have to do their own sorting. If the latter path is chosen, the sort can
be removed.
