Robert,
I apologize for the delay, but if I recall correctly you originally
submitted this request on October 28. I received your request, opened
service call #56158.2, and responded to your e-mail within minutes.

According to your original e-mail, this was not a simple matter of
replacing bulbs. Your description stated that the lights were operating
erratically; sometimes working, sometimes not. Since your request our
electricians have been on sight, attempted to contact you, and conferred
with the Gym's own maintenance man in an attempt to obtain further
information. This all occurred within eight business days.

Unfortunately, while your request is a priority, it must be weighed
against the other 258 requests our four electricians have addressed so
far this FY. Further, in the two weeks since your request another 42
calls have been received, many of which required immediate response. It
is simply a matter of using our limited resources as effectively as we
can. Personally, I am continually amazed at the sheer volume of calls
our electricians manage to address and applaud their hard work.

So, in answer to your original question "what does one have to do to get
lights in a room?" Please submit requests to [log in to unmask] You
can also contact work control via phone at 2254. Beverly McGowan
(2254), David Stallings (4075), and I can also be reached via phone if
it is an emergency or if you have any questions. If you do not feel
your issues are being addressed in a timely manner please contact us.
"UTCSTAFF", while useful and entertaining, is definitely not the most
effective way to handle these issues.

Thank you,

Subject: [UTCSTAFF] What does one have to do to get lights in a room?

I submitted a work request to have the lights in a room replaced so
that
the room is not

have dark for class. This was done three weeks ago, and to this date
there
has not been

anything done. What needs to be done to get this taken care of, as it
is
not helpful for

classes.
