Many of you will remember Saori Itwatsuka, an M.A. student who graduated in
December 2000 and returned with her husband and children to Japan.  The
department received in the mail today a letter from her which I will post
in the department office.  She included a gift of $500 for the
department.  I have placed a card in my box.  If any of you (and especially
those who knew Saori) would like to write a few words of thanks, please do so.
