The UTC College of Education and Hamilton County Schools are jointly
sponsoring substitute teacher training seminars later this month.  There
will be a choice of two sessions: Saturday, Sept. 18 from 9am - noon or
Thursday, September 23 from 5 - 8pm. Both sessions will be held at the
Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences (CSAS), 865 E. 3rd Street,
close to campus. Plenty of parking will be available behind the school and
light refreshments will be served.  Report to the Auditorium on the second
floor.

Attendance at either seminar will enable the participant to substitute in
any of the Hamilton County Schools (after fingerprint screening).
Substitute pay ranges from $42.50 to $53.00 per day. Substitutes may pick
the days of the week and the schools in which they wish to work.

Both sessions are open to anyone in the UTC community. To sign up for
