best-seller, A Song Flung Up to Heaven. As an educator, Dr. Angelou
holds a lifetime position as the first Reynolds Professor of American
Studies at Wake Forest University. She is also a remarkable historian,
actress, playwright, civil-rights activist, producer and director. In
1993, Dr. Angelou became the second poet in U.S. History to write and
recite work at a Presidential Inauguration. She is truly a Renaissance
woman.
