This Friday, Jan. 18, Professors Roland Carter and Mario Abril will be
honored as guest composers by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, when each
will have an original composition performed at Morehouse College as part of
a celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. The concert is at 8:00 p.m. in the
International Chapel at Morehouse College. Two other living American
composers will be represented on the program as well.

For a composer, having a performance by a leading Symphony Orchestra is one
of the most exciting professional experiences to be had. That two
UTC-affiliated composers are on the same program is also a great honor for
this University. Congratulations and best wishes to Prof. Carter and Dr.
Abril.
