Dear Colleagues:

I'm pleased to announce that Dr. Tony Lease has agreed to serve as interim
associate provost during the 1999-2000 academic year.  Dr. Lease will
assume his new duties next week, although he will continue to work for a
time with the College of Education and Applied Professional Studies in
order to ensure a smooth transition there.  In addition to university
experience, he has served as budget manager for a public school system and
as an associate superintendent and a superintendent of schools.

Please join me in welcoming him to his new position.  I am confident you
will enjoy working with him.
