You are invited as the Cress Gallery of Art and the UTC Department of
Art proudly opens the

11th Annual UTC Department of Art Juried Student Exhibition
January 6 - January 25, 2005.

Opening reception and awards ceremony January 13, Thursday from 5:30
- 7:30 pm.  Campus and community are warmly welcome.

This handsome and thought provoking exhibition consists of 61 works
in a wide variety of media and styles created by students enrolled in
the curriculum of the UTC Department of Art.  Mira Gerard, Assistant
Professor and Head of the Painting Department at East Tennessee State
University, served as Juror, selecting the work for the exhibition
from 118 submissions and designating awards for deservant works and
students. A total of 16 awards will be presented.

The Cress Gallery is located in the lobby of the Fine Arts Center at
the corner of Vine and Palmetto.  Hours are 10 am - 5 pm Mondays and
Fridays and 9 am to 7 pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The
Gallery is also open at 6:30 pm for all Patten Series Performances.

Class visits are encouraged and gallery talks available. Call or
