From time to time Library Reference and Instruction Services shares some
websites that may prove to be useful and interesting.

 

Listed below are some academic-related websites for you to review:

 

1)       New York Times Article Archive, 1851-1995

      http://pqasb.pqarchiver.com/nytimes/advancedsearch.html

      A search interface for full-text searching of NYT articles. Search
retrieves a citation to the article, including the first paragraph of longer
articles. Articles may be purchased online, or, using the citation, you may
come to the Library to see the article on microfilm, or you may locate the
full text of articles since June 1, 1980, in Lexis-Nexis, on the Library's
database page.

 

2)       St. Thomas University School of Law Diplomacy Monitor

       http://www.diplomacymonitor.com/stu/dm.nsf/opener?OpenForm

Links to statements relating to diplomatic affairs issued by governments
worldwide. Includes documents issued up to and including the current day.

 

3)       The Tennessee Encyclopedia of History and Culture

       http://tennesseeencyclopedia.net/

        The full text of this encyclopedia of Tennessee and culture,
searchable.

 

4)       The Nobel e-Museum

       http://www.nobel.se/

        This site, produced by the Nobel Foundation, offers lists of, and
information about all winners of Nobel Prizes past and present. It also
includes copies of the Nobel Lectures given by the winners.

 

5)       Historical Publications of the United States Commission on Civil
Rights

       http://www.law.umaryland.edu/edocs/usccr/html%20files/usccrhp.asp

       This site offers links to full text of publications of the Civil
Rights Commission from its beginning in 1957. Publications can be listed by
title, date, or subject.

 

6)       2004 Presidential Campaign Web Sites

       http://politicalweb.info/2004/2004.html

        This site offers links to official web sites of Presidential
candidates. It gives links to particular types of information on each site.
For instance, you can go directly to the biography of a candidate, or to his
speeches, or campaign finance information, or any of numerous categories of
