Come join us as we wrap up this season's Patten Performances at 7:30pm
Monday evening at the UTC Fine Arts Center! We are presenting some
incredible new talent in the form of Perlman/Schmidt/Bailey with Orion
Weiss. This is a chamber trio making serious waves across America and
currently consists of Orion Weiss, Gioria Schmidt and Zuill Bailey. Weiss,
an incredible new talent, is subsituting for Perlman/Schmidt/Bailey
co-founder Navah Perlman, who is expecting twins about the time of this
concert.

The charisma of these artists, both in their collaborative music-making and
communication with audiences, has become evident in every performance.
Bailey is currently Artistic Director of El Paso Pro - Musica in Texas,
while also having recorded on the soundtrack to television's "Homicide: Life
on the Street" and having appeared on-screen in several episodes of the HBO
series "Oz". Violinist Giora Schmidt has performed with Itzhak Perlman and
Pinchas Zuckerman as soloists with the Israel Philharmonic and garnered
numerous awards and prizes, including first prize in the Philadelphia
Orchestra Albert Greenfield Competition. The 24-year-old Weiss has been
described by the Arizona Republic as "an effortlessly brilliant performer,
with technique to burn," and has already appeared with the San Francisco
Symphony, the National Symphony, and the symphony orchestras of Baltimore,
Indianapolis, Kansas City, as well as the Minnesota Orchestra and the Oregon
Symphony.

Join us for a final evening of chamber music in the UTC Fine Arts Center.
Faculty/Staff tickets still available at only $13!
