Dear Colleague:

I seek your assistance in identifying student candidates for an exceptional
new opportunity. UTC, UTK, and UTM have established a relationship with The
Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars in Washington, DC.
Through our affiliation, our students can secure substantive internships at
any of the thousands of organizations - governmental, profit and
non-profit - with which the Washington Center maintains ties. Students will
earn course credit, while The Washington Center will provide placement,
supervision, academic courses and housing - all at a very reasonable cost.
The experience is open to all majors. We plan to place our first group of
interns during Spring 2004.

To be eligible, a candidate must be a rising second-semester sophomore
(2nd-semester sophomore during the internship) and have a minimum GPA of
2.75. I invite you to nominate qualified students by sending the name and
contact information to me by September 15, 2003. Once again, the opportunity
is open to all majors.

If you would like more information about The Washington Center and its
programs, you can find it at <http://www.twc.edu>. Feel free to contact me
at 425-4515.

Thank you for your assistance.
