Chattanooga Writers Guild

Poetry Group to Speak at April Meeting

 

What:  CWG Monthly Meeting

 

When: Tuesday, April 11, 2006 from 7:00 to 8:45 p.m.

 

Where: The Downtown Branch of the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Library

 

The poetry group of the Chattanooga Writers Guild will present readings
from their recently published book, Heart Rhythms.  Writers Ralph Speck,
Finn Bille, Karie Ballentine, Ed Ellett, Penny Dyer, Roger Meyer, Jill
Ardary, and Helga Kidder, will read their poems, which appear in the
book. These poets are in different stages of their poetic lives but all
have benefited from meeting with the group and receiving feedback.

Meetings of the poetry group include discussion of the poems presented.
Members also read and critique a published poem. Information will be
available at the meeting for those who may be interested in joining the
Chattanooga Writers Guild and the Poetry Group.

About the CWG:

Established in 2001, the Chattanooga Writers Guild is a 501(c)3
non-profit organization with a mission to promote, encourage, and
support writing and to create a supportive, caring environment for
writers in the Chattanooga community. The CWG provides a variety of
services, including monthly readings by published authors, writing
contests, a monthly newsletter, regular writing workshops,
genre-specific independent writing groups, and other writing-related
