Please join Bob Bernhardt, Music/Artistic Director & Conductor of the
Chattanooga Symphony & Opera for the final presentation today in the UTC
PERSPECTIVES 2002: The Raymond B. Witt Lecture Series today at 10:50 a.m.,
in the Chattanooga Rooms of the UTC University Center. His topic: "The
More Things Change, the More Things Stay the Same." He will demonstrate
that many ideas in pop music have roots in classical music, often classical
music from earlier eras.

Equally at home in all genres, from opera, to symphony, to pops, to
education, Bernhardt has brought a sense of fun and accomplishment to one
of the Southeast's oldest musical organizations, and an enthusiasm and love
for his work that is infectious.
