The Probasco Chair is seeking faculty or administrators to critique Dr.
Vernon Smith's views on freedom and economic theory. The fall 2003 Burkett
Miller Distinguished Lecture Series will feature Dr. Smith, Nobel Laureate
in Economic Science for 2002.

Dr. Smith is currently Professor of Economics and Law at George Mason
University, a research scholar in the Interdisciplinary Center for Economic
Science, and a Fellow of the Mercatus Center in Arlington, VA. He has
authored or co-authored over 200 articles and books on capital theory,
finance, natural resource economics and experimental economics. Cambridge
University Press published his Papers in Experimental Economics in 1991 and
Bargaining and Market Behavior in 2000.

We are seeking a faculty member or administrator to serve as commentator
for this lecture and are particularly interested in those with
substantiated views differing from the speaker's. We seek logical,
established arguments. Commentary must be of broadcast quality, and an
honorarium will be provided.

Expressions of interest should be directed to [log in to unmask] and should
indicate the faculty member's area of expertise and experience.
