The latest issue of TIPS & TIDBITS, the online newsletter from the Help
Desk, is now available on the web at http://www.utc.edu/helpdesk/tips.
Here are the some the questions this special issue will help answer:
* Is your campus computer ready for Y2K?
* What you do to keep a virus from destroying your work?
* Should you upgrade to Office 2000? Windows 98?
* What brand of computers does the Help Desk strongly recommend, and what
computer do we say to avoid at all costs?
* Plus some simple and highly recommended ways to save time and avoid
computing pain.
In the interests of getting some of these messages to the widest possible
audience, we will also be printing and distributing this special issue via
campus mail. However, the web issue is definitely the preferred way to
view the issue because of the many links it contains.
As always, comments and criticisms will be welcomed.
