Congratulations to Carol Rahn of UTC's Department for Public Safety for
receiving $67,900 from the U.S. Dept. of Justice for the third year of the
COPS program.

With these grant funds, UTC has been able to hire four new full-time
police officers to increase security on campus.  This expanded staffing
has been an important contribution to the campus's efforts to expand
into the Martin Luther King District.
