It's time to start putting together the Faculty Committees that will do the
work of the faculty next year. We want people doing the work they value
and would like to do. To that end, we are requesting your preferences for
committee assignments. To save trees and to make the least dent possible
on university resources, we have put the forms on the UTC Faculty Senate
Web Page.

To fill out your assignment request form:, please do as follows:
1.  Go to the Internet;
2.  Click on the Faculty and Staff icon;
3.  Under governance, click on Faculty Council;
4.  Click on Committees;
5.  On the Committees home page click on Faculty Committee Request Form;
6.  Click on "Save it to disk" and save into one of your directories;
7.  Open it and fill out the form right on your screen;
8.  Save it again;
9.  Close your word processing program;
10. Send it to me as an attachment to an e-mail. My e-mail address
is:  [log in to unmask]

I will be on sabbatical next Fall, so I will not be able to "fix" committee
problems at that time. Therefore, I would like to get the Committee
assignments finalized this Spring if at all possible. Please send your
forms back by the April 4 deadline, so I can manage the task without going
into a tailspin. Consideration for the new Vice President of the Senate
who will inherit the Chair of the Committee on Committees, spurs me to ask
your timely and full response.

Thank you,

Lala

Please notice the new prefix on the phone numbers.
