DON'T MISS OUT!  Once again, the Division of Continuing Education is
offering the Certified Professional Secretary (CPS) Review Course beginning
February 19, 2004.  This ten week course is an in-depth review for the
Certified Professional Secretary (CPS) examination.  Congratulations to
Anna Lane (UTC Lupton Library), Nancy Tolar (Chemistry Dept.) and Martha
Yates (Office of Probasco Chair of Excellence) for passing all three parts
of the exam.  Anna, Nancy & Martha were participants in the last CPS review
course offered through Continuing Education.  The CPS rating is the
achievement of the internationally recognized standard of proficiency in
the secretarial and administrative support professions.  In today's
workplace, having the CPS credentials can be assurance of employability,
pay increases (9% for UTC employees), and opportunity for advancement.  The
CPS examination covers three main subject areas including Finance &
Business Law, Office Systems & Administration, and Management.  UTC is an
authorized testing center for the CPS examination which is given the first
Saturday in May and November.

When:   TH -- February 19-April 22, 2003 (1:00-4:30 p.m.)
Cost:   $425 (UTC Staff will receive a 10% discount!)
