Dear Colleague,

Thanks to the leadership of Professors Fran Bender and Kit Rushing and
their Commencement Review Committee,  yesterday's commencement was much
improved.  Thanks for the outstanding faculty participation.  Thanks for
the outstanding student participation.  Even the audience participation was
much improved.

Thanks to Dr. Marvin Ernst, Dr. Richard Rice, Dr. Dan Quarles, Dean Deborah
Arfken and Linda Orth for the logistic support to make graduation possible.
Thanks to Bill McClay, Richard Brown, John Friedl, and David Noblit for
their program contributions.  Thanks to Jocelyn Sanders for the Brass
Ensemble and the student quartet who sang the alma mater.

Thanks to the Department of Physical Therapy, Dean Mary Tanner and Dean
Arfken for the appropriate recognition of first twenty two students to
receive a doctorate from UTC.
