All,
An exhibit and sale of the photography of Daryl Thetford will open on
Saturday, August 21 from 5-8pm at Faithworks global gallery.
A quote from Daryl describing his artwork: “From the image of an old
neon sign above a defunct restaurant to a farmer’s ranch sign in his
field, what speaks to me is the fundamental simplicity of the images
onto which we project our complex assumptions and beliefs about
religion, politics, rural culture, and the world at large.”
The show will run through Saturday August 28. Gallery hours are
Monday-Saturday 11am-6pm, Sunday 12-5pm. Also available at the gallery
are a variety of fair trade handcrafts including: fabrics, pottery,
woodwork and metal work from Haiti, Thailand, Africa and Peru.
To get to Faithworks gallery: From south Broad street, turn left onto
Tennessee avenue and proceed thru St. Elmo. Cross Georgia state line
and take first right on Chattanooga Valley road/Old 193. Gallery is ½
mile on the right.
