I recently opened an account on Compuserve and the day after I signed up I
received an e-mail stating that vital information was missing from my
initial application process. The e-mail requested that I fill in the
requested information in the form of blanks on the e-mail and send it back
by "reply". I received the same e-mail the next day. One of the pieces of
information was my credit card number. The e-mail was, of course, bogus
and the reply address was definitely not Compuserve. Beware of this if you
have recently signed on to a new ISP. Has anyone else had this experience?
