the art department, in partnership with the association of visual
artist's (ava), is proud to host a lecture by south carolina
installation artist leslie rech in the fine art center building, room
356, thursday october 02 at 5:00.

to quote her statement, "I use mixed-media installation as a vehicle
for concepts involving sexuality, gender, femininity, history,
tradition, desire, and visual pleasure."

the lecture prefaces the opening of "requiem for a hardware store", to
take place on friday, october 03 at the ava center gallery on frazier
ave.

the lecture is free and open to the public.
