I have had a number of calls the last two days about news reports of spam
and hackers using Windows Messaging Services to "attack" personal computers.

Unfortunately, none of these news reports tell how to turn it off.

It should be off on UTC computers. For those of you at home, here is how to
turn it off.
This is very important because there are reports of the technique
"hijacking" modems and running up four and five hundred dollar phone bills.
