Hello, University Community,
I wanted to let everyone know about a show in Atlanta that I worked on and
that will play until Oct 9.
It is called Women + War and is produced by the women's art collective
Synchronicity Performance Group.
For two years the company has worked on creating a theatrical piece based on
interviews with around 50 Atlanta area women whose lives have been touched
by war in some way--Vietnamese women who left their country in 1975,
Sudanese refugees, peace activists and human rights lawyers, even the female
owner of the largest combat boot manufacturer in the country.
The show plays at 7 Stages in Little Five Points--it is very moving and
vital. I recommend it to all. Check out www.synchrotheatre.com
Thanks
Sydney
