Hello,

The Grants Office invites you to attend a workshop on the Tennessee Higher
Education Commission's Eisenhower Grants program.  Eisenhower Grants fund
projects that provide professional development for Tennessee school
teachers in mathematics, science, English, foreign languages, arts,
history, geography, civics, or government.  Four UTC Eisenhower projects
were funded last year, a record number for our campus.

The workshop will provide information on the application process, funding
priorities, and award amounts.  UTC faculty who have received Eisenhower
grants will provide tips on how to develop a competitive proposal and work
with the school system to maximize a project's success.

The workshop will take place at 10 a.m. on September 9th in the University
Center's Lookout Mountain Room.
