As a member of the Presidential Search Advisory Council, I have received a
hard copy of a resolution taken by the Faculty Senate at the University of
Tennessee in Knoxville.  It can be accessed on the web
at:  http://web.utk.edu/~senate/Res1-19-88.html .  Would you be good enough
to call up this document, read it, and give either Richard Brown, who is
the other UTC representative in the Advisory Council, your reactions.  If
this faculty is amenable, we would like to endorse it as is or with
amendments, so that all UT faculty will be heard.
